GAZA HAS A MESSAGE FOR YOU:
"How is that a victory?" the defeatist Arab demanded from their comfort, a point of view they can switch on and off when they have a moment to look at the ruins of Gaza, a comment as superficial as they are, where decolonization would be a swim in the riviera, liberation would be handed to them on a silver platter… an offshoot of westerners dropping billions of dollars worth of bombs on a concentration camp and then playing philanthropist, "Why would they want to stay in Gaza? It's dangerous! They can go somewhere beautiful instead."
The no ceasefire, no food, no water, kill them all are dumbfounded by Trump's humanitarian-ethnic cleansing rhetoric, “I hope we can do something where they wouldn’t want to go back.” They're calling it a fresh idea, something they've never thought of as Euromericans. While the killers of half a million Palestinians that scorched the land beyond recognition, the producers of the crushed bones and blood-soaked humanitarian pier feign morality, "That would amount to genocide!" — the first time they've been able to muster the courage to say genocide in over a year.
Every Tom, Dick, and Hamada has an opinion on Gaza, from white feminists' "free Gaza from Khamas" to American politicians demanding "Hamas has to go" to the random Arab with a European settler living inside their head. Yes, every Tom, Dick, and Hamada has an opinion on Gaza, and every racist on the planet knows what's best for Gaza too, but have they ever listened to Gaza?
I urge them to circle back to the cover photo in this piece— an empty billboard, an advertising sign, repurposed as a perch for the best seats in the house, offering an exclusive vantage point of the Hamas military parade where they hand over Europe's squatter- prisoners to the Red Cross for the exchange deal that will free hundreds of Palestinian hostages — a sight to behold, the most powerful advertising campaign I have ever seen, which is not an advertising campaign, not a paid space, lobby group, or algorithm. Just Gaza’s humans in all their glory with a message to the world.
Is the message clear yet?
